This is as close to being a winner that I have ever been.
When I was at Corvettes at Carlisle last August, I had the pleasure of parking in the Fun Display area next to Kerry Haas and his awesome Vette.
On Saturday morning, the dignitaries started coming around to select the Celebrity Picks. Many of them stopped to look at Kerry's 454. The celebrity from Vette Vues magazine was very interested and asked Kerry a lot of questions. He eventually picked Kerry's Vette and Kerry got to join the other winners as they paraded past the grandstand and received a plaque from Lance and Bill Miller (no relation, just partners and best buddies).
Here is a picture of Kerry, proudly posing with Lance and Bill.
If you want to see more pictures of this great Vette, and a piece of my Vette, take a look at the December issue of Vette Vues, page 72.
BTW, Kerry is a C3VR member.
Congratulations, Kerry.
See you next August in Carlisle.

I know the feelin. One of the local guys we ride with has a 73 vert that was picked out of the field at Mid America a year ago. They did a feature on his car in Vette magazine. Its a cool thing and he is very proud of it. All of us felt honored to be parked around him as well.
