Vette(s): 1970 stingray, t-top, mulsanne blue with black interior, 406 ci with 444 hp, racing suspension, hooker headers/sidepipes - SOLD :(
I wasn't sure where to put this, so it will go here.

I plan on having some work done to my Stingray while I'm here in Iraq, so that when I come home on leave, the car will be more comfortable to drive.  The work I would like to have done includes replacing all the gaskets, putting on new weatherstrip, fixing the heater, fixing the AC, fixing the windshield wipers, and if at all possible, putting in an electric engine fan.

I'm not sure what's wrong with the heater or the windshield wipers...so I can't ask for help on that.

I'm not totally sure what's wrong with the AC entirely, although I DO know that I don't have an AC compressor...when the new engine was put in the car, the original AC compressor got lost somewhere.  I need a new one, and would really like to have something smaller than the GIGANTIMO original compressor that was on the car.  Any suggestions on where I could find something like that?

I have selected a weatherstrip kit from Eckler's, and...

As far as fans go, what is the difference between this...

and this?

Thanks in advance for the help!

It looks like the difference is about $500. Seriously, the Be Cool is probably the better fan, But $500 better, I don't know. I have a Be Cool radiator that I'm very happy with, with a stock fan it keeps my big block at about 180-190. It looks like the Be Cool comes with a thermostat, and if money is no object get the Be Cool. If your like me and not rich get the other one, I probably would.

Mike,
I've been looking at electric dual fans now for about 2 weeks. I finally took the advice from some of the guys here and ordered the 11" dual Spal fan from Dewitts. This one comes with the mounting brackets, hardware kit, relay harness and temperature switch. The airflow is 2780 CFM. I called them and they swear that it will fit any C3 with a BB radaitor. We'll know next week.

You can get the same fan without all the hardware for $248.

I want to make sure that I have a fan that will fit when i go to change the radiator down the road.  I do plan on adding a supercharging to this engine, and I think I'll need a better radiator when I do...I want to make sure this will fit so I don't have to buy another fan at a later date.  If the direct fit radiators from DeWitt will be sufficient for my cooling needs later on when I add the supercharger, that will work fine...or if one of the Be Cool radiators from Ecklers will provide sufficient cooling, I can get one of their fans.  I just don't want to go buying another fan later down the road because the one I get now won't match up with a better radiator later.
