thanks for the slide show Chris, real shame some of us vette nuts can`t get our hands on these rough but complete donor sand put them back in service. Peter Max has a show down here often and a local gallery and will sign any piece of artwork you buy. I missed him by a couple of hours last time. I wonder if he would respond if i questioned him about the cars or if it would piss him off. These eccentric types are finicky.

Thanks for the pics. A sad story so far for sure.
But for me I would rather see the cars left original in a garage with HOPE that someday they will be cleaned up Than...
some Bubba putting flare kits and some 06 frame under the 58 chassis.

Digital Corvettes had a long running thread on the Max Corvettes a couple years ago. I remember the VH1 contest and the guy that won em saying he'd never sell them. Yeah, right.
Being NYC, I bet storage has cost half a million dollars through all these years, if not more. At least it looks dry down there.
Surprised someone like Pro Team hasn't gotton involved, or someone else with deep pockets.
A real shame.
Thanks for the depressing pics!

Last I heard, aboot a year ago, Max was "still gonna do something with them"...
Apparently , his new project with them is to see how long it takes for them all to rot to the ground...

GOOD THING IS THAT THE CARS ARE INSIDE AND DRY AND MAX IS GETTING OLDER. SO THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE SOMEONE FROM HIS ESTATE WILL DO SOMETHING WITH THEM WHEN HE KICKS THE BUCKET. WHICH SHOULD BE LONG BEFORE THEY ROT TO THE GROUND.

Vette(s): 1977 L-82 originally white/buckskin interior.
Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!
I've said this before, and I'll say it again...
Peter Max's work is the worst occular vomit that I've ever seen.
It would be a blessing to purchase one from his estate after he departs the mortal coil.
That's about as nice as I can say it.

Alan,,, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, such is art. there are people out there that feel the same way of our beloved fiberglass creations. Besides there are several pieces he has done that i really like.
same as our vettes, although they are all nice, some are nicer than others.
