Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible

Yesterday, I visited the Auburn/Cord Dusenberg Museum in Auburn, IN (again, highly recommended) and found more than one Corvette Connection.

Besides the '73 I parked next to in the parking lot, what is the connection of the following cars and the C3 Corvette?

I'll try to offer hints if needed, but I'm willing to bet someone will get at least one of these very quickly!!

(cue the Jeopardy music...)
Have fun!!

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

CLASS! MAN, CLASS.

  1.  Extended wheel wells
  2.  LOOONG  Beautiful front end
  3.  Two seats and low slung

Just a guess, but still nice.   One of the Auburns comes to our car show in June. A VERY stunning automobile.

There is a much more specific connection.

Barry's on the right track, but Joel and Tom are not...  HOWEVER...

I did see something VERY interesting today at the GM Heritage Center that makes me understand (outside of Earl being a great designer) why his name would be suggested.

Car 4

This one WAS designed by Harley Earl.  It is in the GM Heritage Center as the very first "Concept Car."  I hate to say it, but it sure looks like a very similar rip off to Car 1 above.  Sorry I didn't get a better shot of the same angle as Car 1
