I noticed fluid dripping under my 74 454. Saw that my power steering canister dipstick wasn't tight. Fluid was dripping down the side of it. Could the engine vibration do that or maybe it needs replacing? Any suggestions?

Could be from the top/stick just being loose.
Will it tighten up properly?
Does it have a rubber seal on it?
Is the fluid level too high?
Any of these things can allow fluid to run out the top of the reservoir.

Could have been loose. Should I purchase maybe a new dipstick and see what happens?

Yes...or..maybe not.  Wipe it down and see where it leaks from.  Confused
