Thanks, there's still few things I would like to change, but I'm pretty pleased of how it looks today. |cheers|

Aegisfang said: Absolutely a head turner, awesome interior, paint job and new wheels. Describe the paint job: Taken down how far before repainting, coats of black , clear, and polish if any.And cost if you wish to say. That would be great for all of us who are looking into new paint jobs. The rear end on the wall, your old one? The new wheels look larger so how has the tire size changed?
Congrats on a great job and car! |cheers|

Thanks for the kind words. The whole body was "sandblasted" with baking soda, this procedure just removes the old paint without damaging the fibreclass. Then I filled out the old spoiler holes, few stress cracks etc. It's got ten coats of black, 5 clear. I still need to polish it up though. The total cost of the paint was around 1500$ and this includes all paint. Yeah that red bumber is the old stock bumber, it still shows the colour my car used to be. I swapped my bumbers to fibreclass ones. Basically the overall tire diameter hasn't changed one bit, it's still the stock 27" as it was with the 255/60/15 I used to have. |cheers|

Laguna70 said: Great looking '79! The 20' wheels - Torqthrust II's? - and sidepipes really set off the look of the car. One thing I don't think you've mentioned...what's lurking under the hood of this animal? My guess is the motor is no less trick then the rest of the car. |toungecool|

Thanks, It's got 454 LS6 in it. The engine has been dynoed for 541hp@4800 and 552tq@5000. It's got Multi Point Fuel Injection, Aluminum heads etc... So it makes a very streetable engine with the 5 Speed Richmond Road Race transmission. |cheers|

Eh, looks okay, for a first time effort...

Of course, by that I mean it totally rocks! Jay, I have followed your build-up for some time now, and we have even exchanged ideas on occasion. I just hope that when I am as close to being done as you are, mine turns out half as well as yours looks in the pics! Hopefully, this will be before I turn 40! As for your big block, I have recently began looking into replacing the LT1 in my car with a BB as an alternative to the twin turbo route. Can you tell me any more about your setup? Anyway, congrats on being so close to completion. What's next for the '75 after the '79 is "done"?

Thanks man for the kind words. I will offer you all my knowledge about the engine swap, to be honest it is really easy thing to do. I'm sure once you get your car all set and done it will put my car into shame |biggrin|
I took the car for a quick spin tonight. Here's few more pics:
