weather striping advice

Hi all
I would like to replace the door pillar, t-top and door weather stripping but have heard the aftermarket stuff is not to great. Anyone have experiences with this stuff..... and does anyone know where i can the the GM parts??

I don't think you will find original GM stuff out there. I myself will be shopping for new weatherstripping for the '81. I replaced mine 9 yrs. ago and it's starting to fail. It was the garbage off shore China junk. I will be looking for the Made in USA stuff. There are different grades of rubber that range from hard non pliable junk to decent latex OEM style. I'm going to check around with our supporting vendors first.

I used "Soft Seal" weatherstripping on the '74 when I did it years ago. It's held up quite nicely. Big smile

Dr Rebuild seems to think his stuff is the best.  Went to court over it according to his website.

I bought some from Corvette Rubber Company. It was very soft and pliable. I have been told this is what most companies that refurbish Corvettes use.
