Hi Vetheads. Can you tell me who makes the best repair manual? I have a Haynes but am wondering if there's better. Thanks, Terry

Hi All,
The Haynes is a good manual but it seems limited on some things. I use the orginal GM for my 82 it seems to be more detailed on most items.
The one I don't care much for is the Chiltons, it wonders all over the place.
Hope this little bit helps.

I like the original GM manual. You can usually find them on ebay or order them from helminc.com

I got the orginal GM manuals for my 81 but haven't heard of the AIM manuals before - can I get them on ebay too?

As mentioned, the original GM service manual for your car is the best way to go, along with the AIM. You would be surprised at the amount of usefuel info in the AIM. Go to www.ncrs.org and click on the store logo. Buy your publications directly from them and they will ship the same day.
