I've also found the 1969 Chassis service manual - Chevrolet, Chevelle, Camaro, Nova, & Corvette to be very good. Only 1/4 of the manual is devoted to corvette but it is very good. Much better than the Chiltons or Haynes.

I got my copy of Assy. Manual from www.corvetteamerica.com for $18.00. Very helpful. As far as repair manual I have Haynes & Chilton. Haynes is pretty OK Chilton is crap.. I'm told you can get GM Service Manual on e-bay. I haven't seen my year as of yet but I'll keep trying

that is true.... the service manual covers more than just the corvette
I have been shopping for the factory service manual for my '70 C-3. Several of the ads I have seen for 1970 say it covers Chev this and Chev that for 1970, but 1969 Corvette. Do I need to buy a 1971 service manual to have the most correct manual for my car? Anyone out there have any idea?

as in my earlier post the corvette shop manual also covers chevelle as wellm as full size cars. that is the official GM shop manual. you can get copies on ebay. i held out for an original for $24. well worth having as well is the AIM (assembly instruction manual). this is a corvette only manual

I know that the Chev Service Manuals cover more than Corvettes. My question is what year Service Manual should I get to have the manual that covers a 1970 Corvette. I was ready to bid on a couple different ones on e-bay, then noticed in the description that it said it covered 1970 Chevrolet models, but 1969 Corvette. Does that mean that the 1971 Service Manual would be the most correct one to get for a 1970 Corvette?
