Interesting rear spring set up. It looks like it should make things nice and tight. |hammer| |hammer|

Well my wife decided that the cars should match so she's going to be painted dark Bowling Green metallic.

Looking good. Hopefully Bob will get it done for you and you can get it painted. It is a long process. Too long sometimes it seems.

smoke-m said: Nice! what suspension do you have there? I like the rack & pinion set up. thumb

The suspension is the high performance package from Van Steel. The R&P set up is Steeroids from Speed Direct.

I just got a few more pics in of the 700R install & an updated pic of the engine...

But first things first... We had to remove the stock crossmember because the 700R needed something a bit different. Here's the old one, and here's the new one along with the new flywheel & the 700R.

Here's the flywheel being installed... picture #1  picture #2  picture #3  picture #4  picture #5

The 3" K & N setup looks really sharp. We had originally ordered a 4" but the hood wouldn't close so the 4" is going to go into Rose's Diva...

I think that we had unrealistic hopes of how short a process it would be. Bob's been a great mechanic & a good friend. My wife wanted Sassi done a certain way, no frills just raw power. I felt that she needed some extras. |biggrin|

Well before I post some more pics it seems that we've run into our first major problem. Apparently the sidemount headers are preventing the steeroids from working. The result is that now the steering wheel won't turn. sad

Here are some pics of the pulley set installed on the engine... picture #1  picture #2

Vette(s): 1972 Coupe Anything, but Stock and more mods to come! SSBC Force 10 Brakes, 3.73, TH350, 355 CID, Rack and Pinion, Vette Brakes suspension front and rear.
I have the Steeroids on my Vette and the sidemount headers will work, but you will need to put a clearance bap in the tube where the steering rod passes through the eye mount. I have a photo of where I made the bap that I can send you if you give me your email address.

I would double check it on your headers when you do a prelim. fit. Best way is to mark the header with a sharpie, heat the tube with a propane torch and then I used a large diameter deep socket wrapped in a shop rag to similulat the rod location. Then take a rubber sand mallet and knock a clearane bap into the header.
