Ok, so here's what I got...
2 packets which are nothing more than (in some cases, poor quality) photo copies of other books & manuals. "Past Model Information" and "1979 Corvette Specifications" are the two packets.
Past Model Information
Here's the text from the introduction of this packet:
This publication has been compiled to assist owners of past model Chevrolets in obtaining information, parts and accessories which are no longer available through your local Chevrolet dealer.

3. Section 0A: General Information of the Corvette Shop Manual which includes Body Identification Plate, VIN and Unit Identification.
4. Section 0B: Maintenance and Lubrication, which includes Schedule, Lubricant & General Maintenance, Safty Maintenance, Emission Control, Specifications: Recommended Fluids and Lubricants, Fluid Capacities & Vehicle Lifting Points
5. A Chevrolet News release from 9/21/1978 titled "1979 Corvette"
6. A memo to Chevrolet Dealers from Chevrolet from 12/1/1978, Subject: 1979 Model Passenger Vehicle Exterior Noise Regulation Requirements for States and Municipalities.
7. Alphabetical Option Index, Color and Trim Selection & Power Teams from the 1979 Dealer Order Guide.

Vette(s): 1978 INDY PACE CAR #3016 of #6502 built. Has original Pace car decals still in GM boxes the way it was delivered to GM dealers. per NCRS "UPDATE" Decals applied as of 3/8/02 (ALL ORIGINAL)
I thought I would run this post back to the top to give some of the newer members a chance to check it out. As Adam indicated in one of his post the quality of the copies that you receive from GM are poor. But, you have to realize this information is sent to you free of charge and that doesnt happen much any more this day and time.
