That's a product used for antiquing, correct? Comes in a tube in a variety of colors. I'm also guessing it has to be applied to bare metal.

Exactly what I'm looking for for some of my engine parts.
How does it hold up over time?
Do you need to seal it?
Where can I get the product?

The name of the stuff is Rub n Buff. It comes in a very small tube and you can buy it at a craft shop for about $4. Different colors are available. There were two different shades of gold.

Use sparingly, as a little goes a long ways. I applied it with an old toothbrush then lightly buffed it with a clean cloth. Actually, you can also apply it with your fingers. |laugh|

I learned about it from someone else (Gator454) at another place. Yesterday, was the first time I have used it, so have no idea how it will hold up overtime. This week I am going to see if there is a color that might be compatible with the hood latches.

BTW, I was right on the verge of ripping out the booster and decided to try this as a last resort. Happy Motoring! Mark |wavey|
