Very, very sad. I have my car up on 4 jack stands that are rates to hold 4X the weight of the car, plus 2 additional stands for safety and I still get nervous...

Very sad indeed.
I had my burb up on four jack stands Easter week end. I was very aware of proper placement plus left the floor jack in place as a back up.

Yep, that's the way I do it. it's about the best you can do, 'course, now I've got the lift.

Sad story, but happens quite a lot!
I always use a jack stand with a floor jack whenever I'm under a car - when I was 16, had a '71 GMC PU fall just after I got out from under it.... I was one of the lucky ones!

Good idea to be reminded whenever anyone is working under a car!
