Dirt holds moisture! Steel sucks up moisture, specially unpainted steel. Just look under ANY car that has been settin outside in the dirt and see those little beades of water lerking under there.

Mark, Agree with you on the P's. I already have one that needed a total restore and I am about out of P's all around. Bad thing is I am not close to being done. I would not tell anyone to take on a project like that unless they were retired, Had lots of money and dont care if they can never get the money out of it they invested in it. I know many will have different opinions of this but I know I am to far into mine already and need more to complete. I will say I expect to enjoy the car for many many years and I cant put a price on that!

Man Oh Man! I guess mine wasn't that bad after all with it's being covered in pidgeon poop, a few dead mice in the dash, etc...
My hat's off to anyone who can take on a job like that!
Kevin
At least it looks like everything was there, just in bad shape. I agree with Rod in the fact that you better be retired with plenty of time and spare cash! Its amazing how much money and time I've spent on mine and it was in excellent shape when I got it!

Barry

Barry you do a great job because your car looks new. I still like the character cracks! I know they drove you nuts and they turned out to be a poor repaint..but if I did that with my car I would run out of red markers!

Thanks, Rich, but your paint has some areas (most areas) that are not cracked. Mine, on the other hand, had NO panels that weren't cracked. I'm too anal for that! It HAS to be perfect!

I'm with Mark on this one, that was in the bush pretty good so every morning it had condensation from all the night before.....I mean people build water system's out of morning dew. I just think its guna be a pretty rusty piece. Rod your buildin and livin the dream man and your right you can not put a price on that....betcha moma can
ebo

Barry Blue Boy......I can't wait to see your car man it's guna be sweet that blue is so soft we all may just have to lay across the hood an take a nap on it. You will have to park next to me or somebodys white C3 so it really pops! A show stopper for sure
But I would not be able to park it outside....especially if my house had a garage.....I feel your pain

It looks like it is a completely original car, with the exception of the rims/tires. It also looks to be totally complete. My opinion is, IF the frame is not damaged from rust, or an accident, the car is restorable. Will it be worth it money-wise? Not likely. It will prolly wind up being a drag car or something. I have seen folks build Top Flight cars out of worse/less....

Hey Rich, if you run out of red makers just yell, I been saving some for when I get around you guys that liked my markings. Heck, I would even help you mark it up if you want. It relieves a lot of stress with each mark! You gotta try it!
