Topic: Scam! Who is this guy kidding?

(from Italy)(his grandfather died and he was selling it from the estate)and and I will ship it to you. This was for a 1970 Boss 429 Mustang he was 'selling' for $8,800!? He was caught after I went to Ebay about him. Ebay is doing a lot to keep the scammers away. Do not think this is a everyday thing. I buy a lot of parts off Ebay and have had no problems.

Yeah........I found a '69 L-88 for sale for $9,000. Same story, her brother died & she would ship the car from Portugal.
I have met with several people from E-Bay's fraud dept. and it's amazing how many of these get posted. They are usually purged from E-Bay in a day or two.
I really hope no one has fallen for this (I'm sure some have), the scam is pretty obvious, but I guess some people can't resist a hidden gem.
I just had to tow the car out from a guy who thought he got a good deal on a '98 Tahoe for $2,500. When I told him that it was stolen, it finally made sense to him why he never got the title
