I have to agree with this post, If I had to show him how to open the door I would tell him " let me show you", open it get in and drive off.
Funny story otherwise.
I had a young MP at a check point on post wanted me to open the trunk, I told him it didnt have one and he asked what the lock on the back was for then. I had to show him it was the alarm system. Young kid what can I say.

Ya know...as hard, or impossible as it might be to believe, not everyone is interested in Corvettes, or have any knowledge of them, so...a few silly questions here and there are gonna pop up. I was told once by a VERY wise old fart that I couldn't expect everyone to know what I know, so it was unreasonable for me to call them stoopid because they asked questions that I thought would be common knowledge. I know OWNERS that have asked what the key switch on the rear panel is for!
It's still fun to mess with them, anyway....
