This is the house across the road from me. That 79 has been sitting there untouched for over 1 1/2 years now. I don't even know this guy, don't think anyone else around me really does either. The people are a little........ well, never mind. Anyway, I've been thinking of leaving a note in his box asking if it might be for sale. But I hate to get involved with something that may end up costing more than what I've paid for low mile originals, my preference. Opinions??  Mike

The worst that can happen is he says no.

The only dumb question is the one you never ask. Maybe you won't get the answer you want, but at least you'll get an answer.
The worst that can happen is he says no.
Ah, but what if he says YES!! I'm just not sure, I've been considering this since last fall when I figured it was gonna sit out all winter AGAIN. I also thought of offering to store it for him but from the pic it sure looks like HE should have some inside room for it. I also think he has another C3 but have never seen it.

Mike, IMO why don't you just ask him if the Vette is for sale and if it is you might be interested.  If he says yes, then you can check it out and if you like it and the price is right,  buy it.  If you don't like it, don't buy it.

You never know, might be a good deal.  Of course, be very sceptical.  Anyone who would leave a Vette sitting uncovered and not driven for a year and a half, in all kinds of weather, sure didn't take very good care of it.

I guess the question is, do you have the room for it, and do you have the time for it?

Who knows. it might just turn out to be a gem in the rough or a great big bomb. You'll never know until you ask, and if it's been on your mind for about a year, ask so you'll know what your options are.

I do know how you feel though. I hate to see a vette mistreated.

Naw really if ya are interested ya might wanna stop and tell him ya saw he had a vette and invite him ta join C3VR. He will either say thanks or no thanks he is considering selling the car. Then your set up for the kill. If ya decide you want it after an inspect.
