Loooks to me like a photo straight from the Branch Davidians compound in Waco Shocked Don't know if I'd mess with'em.

Heck, go for it leave a note Thumbs%20Up
Oh, come on! Actually it's a pretty nice house, it's just we're recovering from snow melt right now and EVERYTHING looks pretty blah! Both the man and wife drive those panel vans for everyday drivers, have no idea what they do.

Anyway, step 1: Told the wife I'm gonna put a note in the guy across the street's mailbox asking him if he wants to sell the white Corvette. "OK', she says, then she stopped cold in her tracks..."WHAT!!!"  Well, she won't stop me, figures I'm nuts. Tomorrow I'll leave him the note. See what happens.  Mike

You might want to think about a price range just in case he jumps for the sale... but it is amazing sometimes how much people think their "Gem/Junk" is worth when someone starts showing interest... you may have a winner there. I've known frinds to lose on a good deal because they "never thought he would sell it"! If you want it and the price is good for you... go for it...  I would...Thumbs%20Up

One minor issue is that you may want to tape the note to his mailbox or mail him an actual letter.  According to my neighbor who is our post master, that box is not for just anybody but a federal official on his official duty and mere humans aren't supposed to put stuff in that box without it having gone thru official channels, i.e. the mail system.  Supposedly a fine and all that could happen.

Anyway, that doesn't stop most of us on the block from putting Christmas cards in each others boxes (not hers).

Your call, unless, of course, he is the postmaster for your areaRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing

Hey, that looks just like MY house!!!

J/K.  Go over there and knock on the door.  If he says, something like "touch my vette, and you'll @#$%@^  DIE!!", he might be someone worth knowing.

Seriously though, wouldn't hurt.  He can't do anything more than say no (at least not in broad daylight).  I can think of at least a couple of wierd neighbors that turned out to be pretty cool and I regretted not knowing them sooner.

If he says the above, hand him this:

I'm getting ready to do the same thing with a neighbor that has a '59 Chevy PU.  I've never seen it move and he just put his house up for sale.

If it were me, I'd have no problem strolling on over and rap on the door, introduce myself and ask. Doesn't seem to be worth much to him, or it could be something like belonging to a kid in the service, etc. Won't know til you ask. I would have been over there long before now! Do it now. Tomorrow it may be gone. I've found, you snooze you lose. Before I bought my '71, I looked at a C3 chromie sitting in a closed store lot for about two months. Finally stopped and got the number, called the guy and someone had just called THAT day from Dallas and bought it. $6500 I think it was. Made me sick. My 2 cents

Well, I left a note. Rubberband'd it to the mailbox flag so I can see if it gets picked up. Uncomfortable going up to the house, not sure of the attitude of the folks. Now to see what happens. I won't pursue it any further if I don't hear anything.
