Slick 50 is a metal treatment, not an oil treatment. So it can take a bit to completely treat and condition the metal. Usually about 1000 miles will do the trick. T
i had put slick in my lawnmower too ... i got the idea the cranking (starting)got a little heavier..(or maybe it was my battery that got weaker ) so i hope i don't have to drive 1000 miles with my mower before it gets easier again

OK.... The Sentra story sold me.... I bought a quart of the stuff today. Question now.... I just changed my oil to 10W-30 Mobil 1.... forgetting the Slick 50... Now what's an extra quart going to do?? Any problems with an extra 20% of oil in the pan?

Well, looks like my weekend projects for oil changes in all the vehicles just had an addition. Slik 50 ...........
Extra oil in the pan ain't a good thing -- reduces flow

just open the plug on the oil pan to drain a little oil and add the slick
btw.. after a few uses it looks like my lawnmower runs a little beter at idle (before it tended to stop running)
and on my vette i think i can turn the high idle screw back again.
