Vette(s): Just finished 2 years of Blood, Sweat, & Tears restoring my 69 Coupe. Crimsom Red, 427, vacuum removed, Shot of Steeroids, Killer Lights, 5 Speed, still working on small things but she is back on the road.
Thanks!  I will be back in town in a couple of weeks.  Hopefully, it will be painted and the body back on the frame with the doors and all the misc hardware installed.  I will bring it home to do the final assembly.  I really miss working on it.  I didn't think I would ever think that when I was spending all that time in fiberglass & sanding hell.  I guess time heals everything.  Thanks again for all the support and comments.

Vette(s): 1971 T-top. I just had car shipped from my parents house in florida where it has sat for over 12 years..It is going to be a long project!

The work done on the front fenders...is that what has to be done if you put an aftermarket hood on that eliminates the wiper door???

I love the color..

I'm guessing you are talking about building the fenders closer to the windshield and eliminating the two clips on each side of the fenders.  If this is correct the answer is no.  You can reuse the clips they just didn't have the look I wanted.  The guy helping me suggested we just trash them and build the fender closer to the windshield and match the lines of the hood.  Plus the two clips are just hanging there and scratch the paint when you put them on.  Mine were held with one screw and a clip that pinched the fender to stay on.  Even with the original hood they were not perfectly matched with the hood lines.  The hood needed some glass work to match up but I honestly couldn't tell you if it was the hood or the new cap.  Neither were just a bolt on and run.  It took a lot of work to get them lines up and fitted.
