Topic: Sometimes I wonder why...

See being a farmer and having cars you can only drive on nice days is a real challenge.
The 1st nice days of spring and its work from dawn to dusk. As the cars sit.
If your driving one of the cars you think you should be farming and if your farming you wish you were driving a car. Its a tough life let me tell ya.
So a few days ago it was 60+ degrees. Beautiful day it was. Worked till about 4pm. Then I said screw it.
Got the 70 out, (started right up!), put the top down, turned on the radio to the "rock of the coast" station, and headed to the ocean for dinner. Some back roads to the freeway, takin my time.
Then the part I love. Getting on the freeway. Because its a cross road you start from a standing stop so to speak. Theres a break in traffic and off I go. 1st gear........2nd gear......about 5000rpm, just passing 60mph....slam 3rd......shut er down for the cruise at 70 and slip into 4th. AC/DC on the radio, throw my fist in the air, let out a YEEEE-HAWWWW and right then and there remember why I have this car.
So today it raining cats and dogs and thought I would share a Vette story.

There now..... don'tcha feel just a wee bit better.....
Incidently... the vete usually wins out........ (lol)
Tux...

Kinda sorta?
Tell you the truth we just went to So- Cal for 2 weeks. Along the ocean. (Not in a Vette) I was like "this is where these cars belong!"
Great weather every day we were there.
It would be like pizza in Italy, Cowboy hats in Texas or Hookers in Vegas.
Put things where they are supposed to be.
Someday......(The car I mean in So-Cal)

I spent 14 hours in the garage today, and yes I took the white one out of storage at 8am this morn, started right up. Took it down to Agway to pick up a 10mm nut for my John Deer, got the oil good and hot and changed it and filter. Put 1/2 bottle of Marvel in motor and the rest in gas tank.
Took the winter tires off the bus and painted the brake calipers with a paint kit from Eastwood real nice kit. It's up on stands for the night and I'll put the chromes on it tomorrow. Took cab and blower off the tractor charged the batteries in the fishin boat and moved that out of the garage. Charged the battery in the of the kids 4 wheelers will do the other tomorrow. Dropped ebowomans jeep off for front wheel bearing replacement ouch... Got the bus inspected, and last thing I did before I came in.....

Sometimes I just walk into the garage and stare at the Lukester for a little while and it's all good again!! Stating a tranny swap next Saturday - looking forward to shifting gears with my brain and getting a bunch on real work done!!
It's all good in the end, ain't it!

Al, I need a nap after just reading that. I don't know what you have for breakfast in the morning, but I gotta get me some.
Just got back from my first coffee run of the year in the Silver Ann. It don't get much better.
