I recently installed an Audiosound USA-1 100amp deck in my 71. I also put in a small SLP (100 watt) amp. Its going into Kenwood 200 watt 3 way speakers. I Installed a noise filter in the RCA from deck to amp, but I'm still getting alt. noise. Plus not much bass in low volume. It sounds good when I crank it, but I'm too old to listen to loud music. Would an EQ. help? If so, what's a good one? I am open to any other suggestions to eliminate unwanted noise. Thanks, Terry |headscratch|

You may not have enough amp for those speakers to push the bass, or the speaker boxes may not be well designed for efficient bass performance. Like anything else, stereo components have to be matched for best performance. I'd suggest going to an automotive audio specialist. Lots of places sell filters, capacitors, etc., for various types of noise sources, but like anything else, all is not equal. A specialist shop can attack the problems logically and with the proper components.
