Push-Pin's get epoxied on. I am getting ready to do that, as I purchased factory tye duplicated molded underhood insulation from Zip for this 70.
Center hole in new insulation was off 1.25". I will clip the old center pin off and apply the new one after fitting insulation up and marking new hole area.

Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
My '69 has the insulation, it was all original when I bought it right down to the plug wires. The insulation on mine is only about 1 foot wide at the front of the hood.

Matt

I had to go to the "library" on this one! I have a restoration book that says the insulation was used on "some" 69's, with no consistency, it showed a pic of a small block car with it , then stated it was used mostly on big block cars. |headscratch| and it was just a section up front on the hood.

As far as I know 72's dont have insulation. Mine doesn't have provision for it either
