Push-Pin's get epoxied on. I am getting ready to do that, as I purchased factory tye duplicated molded underhood insulation from Zip for this 70.
Center hole in new insulation was off 1.25". I will clip the old center pin off and apply the new one after fitting insulation up and marking new hole area.

My '69 has the insulation, it was all original when I bought it right down to the plug wires. The insulation on mine is only about 1 foot wide at the front of the hood.

I had to go to the "library" on this one! I have a restoration book that says the insulation was used on "some" 69's, with no consistency, it showed a pic of a small block car with it , then stated it was used mostly on big block cars.
and it was just a section up front on the hood.
