I was watching our local news this morning. The owner said that he was going to restore the car back to original and give it to his daughter.

THERE IS A PICTURE OF THE OWNER SITTING INSIDE THE CAR IN TODAY'S LA TIMES. THE CAR LOOKS TO BE QUITE CLEAN. THE ORIGINAL ENGINE (327) WAS REPLACED WITH A 454, AND A BIG BLOCK HOOD ADDED. IT APPEARS TO HAVE A 69-UP COLUMN...KEY ON THE COLUMN NOT ON THE DASH. THE ARTICLE STATES THE ONLY THING MISSING IS THE GAS TANK. EASILY RECTIFIED!!!!

Happy to see the car was recovered and reunited with it's rightfull owner. It is obvious that this vette had passed through the hands of diffrent so called owners. I wonder how no one picked up on this sooner. I hope the investigation continues till they find the thief. And the so called owners must have the pressure on them. Posession of stolen property is pretty HOT SEAT
Maybe the guy should restore it, then take it to a Barrett-Jackson Auction. With a story like that, and a well documented one, he just might get a ton of money for it. We all know that many of the bidders at a B-J auction have more money than good sense - based on what they're paying for some of those vehicles. Just a thought.
People at Barret Jackson are from another world, Wednesday night a Aqua car, the land and water car,for those that remember went for more than a 65 big block corvette.
