Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
This was stolen in Bay Area.  So it is a California issue.  Great looking car.  I'm thinking that LowJack may be the way to go when I get my corvette running.  Sure would hate to have this happen to me.

That's only 100 mi. from here. A very congested city area. I would be interested in knowing how it was lost, I mean, did it disappear from his home or was it taken while it was parked out somewhere. I'm only 50 mi. from 2 of the highest "car theft" cities in the country. Kinda makes ya a little nervous Disapprove.

The post date was late March.  So I assumed it was a new issue.

Vette(s): 1982 Black, ZZ4, Hooker Side Pipes, 3.55 Rear, Rebuilt & upgraded 700R4, All new suspension, brakes, & new Charcoal interior.
I just finished redoing my power locks to get them working again and then I got a keyless entry and alarm system installed. I always felt uneasy about leaving it in a hotel parking lot, will feel a little better now. I would hate to lose my Vette for sure Cry

I have a friend that put a LoJack system on his Charger.  The system he had let him know if the care moved more than 100 yards from where the key was.  This system seems to be a step above that.  Has anyone had experiance with LoJack.  http://www.lojack.com/Proximity/Pages/proximity-why.aspx

I saw this some time ago. It was stolen in August of last year. I would be pissed on one hand if someone stole one of my cars. But then on the other hand I wouldn't mind the hunt for something to replace them.

That's really sad. Especially listening to the story.Cry I cant imagine losing the baby if I had it all those years. Hopefully he recovers it - but this is  a really old message.  Tuck the kids in tight!!!
