My guess is your doing the same thing I did when I changed my sig. The signiture under My Account ---> My Profile does nothing. Click on the settings button at the top of this page and that will take you to your forum profile, and remember to save it before you exit. I think Anyways

Also, when you edit your sig., there is a button you can click on to "Test" your sig. there in the profile, so you don't have to try it out on the forums to see if it werked. If all else fails..........NORSKY!!!
