Rod won "Peoples Choice"
Rod has a sticker on his winshield to brag to and I believe a trophy /plaque.

Rodney,
I love the paint!
Looks like it is wet with detailer.
Great looking wheel and brakes too.
Super pictures in the morning light.

Congrats on the well deserved award! You did a truly fantastic job. I can only wish that mine could ever look half as nice. Great pictures as to boot. I wish all my pictures were digital but way back, when I bought the car, I had a 35mm slr, no digital phones 13 yrs ago.

I gotta tell ya it was what they called a celebrity pick. I was sittin at the car around 4 PM saturday afternoon and this guy and girlfriend came over and started to ask questions about the car. He knew his cars and talked for 10 - 12 minutes with me. He kept telling me he like it because it combined the old look of the body and interior with the new wheels and engine look. Then he turns to me and says he is from the cruise control/radio group and he wants to pick my car for the celebrity choice. I was shocked! Didnt know what to say. almost brought tears to my eyes I was so happy. I never thought about winning an award because Im not really into that but I can say it means the world to me to have been so fortunate.
Again I just want to thank this group as they help to keep us all on track when we get discouraged, when we need technical help or we just need to talk to relieve the stress of things not going right.
Also thanks to everyone for your kind words of congrats for the award.
Thanks again, Rodney

Rod, Congratulations.............Super well deserved (tried to match paint color, but it's not the same). Lots of work
and patience
paid off.

During the past 3 years there have been so many members that have given advise and words of wisdom that have kept me going on this project. From technical advise to words of encouragement when the project became overwhelming! A special thanks to, "Rich" for giving me a helping hand in the final steps of completion, Joel for all his knowledge whenever I needed a question answered, and for my friend Ebo, who would make sure I didnt forget I would fall asleep on the group during chat night because I was out of gas! There were so many others that would help as well, and I thank everyone. This past weekend was the exclamation point on the project for me. I was blessed with an award that means so much to me. Thanks to everyone in the C3VR family for your encouragement as this project moved forward. This is the reason I fly the C3VR emblem in the Front window, the large sewn patch across the console, and the Lifetime member badges on the dash and I couldnt be prouder to be a member of this group! Thank You, Rodney.
Rodney, I'm late to the party, had a hard drive crash! However, as I have been working on my car I had the same observations that you so eloquently made above regarding all the help from the forum members...INCLUDING YOU! One example - the pics you posted when I was asking about checking my rear axle yokes. I guess thats what folks mean when they say "pay it forward". I was at Carlisle Friday and Saturday and at the dinner too, but didnt have the pleasure of seeing you or your car, maybe next time! Congrats!
