I have an 1974 T-top with 350 auto. Replaced the rear leaf spring and all hardware. 4 new shocks. The bushings in the front end seem to be in good shape but the whole car is leaning to the drivers side. There is good 1" to 2" differance in the clearance. The driver side is very low. When I removed the old leave spring there was a homemade spacer in the driverside bolt. Any suggestions would be great.

I have a 1981 coupe with the same problem, repalced the rear spring had the fronts checked, and all 4 shocks. I even tried spacers in the front driver spring, made no difference. I'm ready to take it to the local corvette speciallity shop. Please help us.

Vette(s): White 73 convertible - 350/auto, A/C PS, PB, PW, leather, t/t, two tops
Also had a 69 t-top 20 years ago
You should measure the distance from the frame to the ground along the rocker panels on both sides. That will tell you if the frame has a twist or if the body mounts are shot. Joe

It might also be where the body mounts attach to the body - they can rust out and allow the body to sag. A big washer can be used as a temporary fix. Joe

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.

I see a lot of suggestions, but what is the real answer? Have you tried all the different things offered? I remember seeing something on another site, about the same problem, but I don't remember the fix. I'll see if i can find it again....
