I just remembered to go out and pump the brakes a few times on our stored Vettes. Don't forget. It keeps the seals from pulling back and leaking. All you southern drivers can ignore this

I couldn't agree more.............BUT.................. Too Late...........
Since my car has been "apart" I have not had the opportunity to do this. I put the rebuilt front calipers about a month ago & I bled the brakes last week.
Unfortunately, I found a lot of fluid on the floor under the right rear caliper which was leaking bad, so I pulled the rears & off to Lone Star Calipers they went.
Since they didn't leak before, but have been inactive for over a year, the seals went bad.
Bottom line.........pump 'em or rebuild them.
Better yet, start her up and take her for a spin- shes probably lonely
sitting in storage all that time! i keep my car in a self storage
facility, and since im live near there, i start it up and drive it
around for a few minutes and put it back in every couple of weeks. dont
have to worry about keeping things worked in that way, and i feel
better having at least driving it around if only for a few minutes.
