Anyone from that area? My 75 is at Loyal Auto near there since she decided not to start while Eric n I were cruising. Got her towed there and suspect its an electrical problem. Just curious since I hate leaving my car that far away!

HAHAHAH...Thanks....I needed that. Bad news never comes just a little at a time right? I'm not gonna have a Vette it looks like.

I got her to Tuxedo cruisin, just had the starter adjusted the day before so I figured she'd restart, but I figured wrong. She's in Tuxedo at Loyal Tire and Auto Center. The tow driver was pretty sure it was an electrical problem, and looking at the wiring and knowing what kind of electrician the previous owner is, I'm not surprised. Since Saturday when I was forced to leave it they've spend a couple hours looking at it and have no idea what is exactly the problem, so "patching" it may not be an option. I can't afford a new dash harness muchless the install of said dash harness. So I've got a non-runner that may end up being garaged at my parents house w/o tags starting sometime next week. Pretty depressing since I've spent over $2k since May 14.

do a search in the locator.. see if you can find anyone in the area on this site and ask around to see if they have any electrical talent.. maybe you could get one of the c3vr guys somewhat local to that area to help you debug..
if you were broken down in AR or near... id give you whatever help i could.. but NY is a little too far for me..

is there a chevy dealership in tuxedo NY???
if so.. have it hauled to them.. for some reason normal garages sometimes treat vettes like they are some kind of mystical vehicle unlike any other.. when in reality the wiring is rather simplistic when compared to a newer car. chevy shouldnt be "skeered" of it.
Hey guy, sorry I caught this thread this late........I'm not 20 miles from Tuxedo, NY, and I've got a good Vette mechanic (Thank Odin...) If you're still hung up, he's Jim Willis at Superior Auto Repair, Haskell, NJ.

The car just moved to A.V.A. Performance in Queens, NY at a "slight" cost...if this shop doesn't work out...I'm going to throw a fit...and then let you know I need someone else to look at it...
