Finally after a long winter Tux came down off the ramps & jackstands today. AAAHHH it sure felt good ta pull him outside. The aroma of new headers baking in from the heat. I think they sound better than the POC Hedmans that were on it.
Off to the open road we go for a spin. Short cruise at 70 and quite in the corkpit with no exhaust aroma. Life is good! In through town hit the 1st stoplight and got a thumbs up from some youngsters "Oh Yeah" even though the temp has slid back to 35 it still feels good to have Tux out.
Well now he's back in the garage back on the ramps and stands waiting for a full cleaning. He's goin to the high school prom Saturday to keep an eye on his garage mate the Zombie.
UNLESS... it snows!
They annouced today that it might snow up to 2" on Saturday. I had ta call the 2 young fellerz and tell them to make an alternate planz just in case. Oh well if it does the bright side is I'll have two nice shiney vettes
in the garage with full gas tanks.... What ta drive on the next sunny day...

OK..I'm next, The C-4 goes in to get new shoes tomorrow at the local New Chevrolet Dealer here in town. I went in last week to look the place over..The say they have never seen a C-4 Corvette before?
but, they did say they have a guy that is the only one that works on Corvettes..Trained they say?? Well I came home and took pictures of the underside rail, rims and wheel wells, and under trim, just in case..Still snow in the yards but the roads are dry some what. I started her tonight to top off the battery, Love the inside smell, maybe next week I'll start the Green76..We'll being seeing you all real soon..Yep

Good to hear that Tux got out to play a little.
Mine still sitting on 4 floor jacks. This weather sucks.
Last week the highway guys put an inch of salt on my road.

It was deeper than the snow.

Yeah Dave I've watched the NY weather all LOOONG winter. You have had some tuff weather. Times a commin my friend. Won't be long we'll be flyin down I80...

After an 81 degree Monday a couple of weeks ago we got 8 inches of snow followed by several days of rain which hosed down the roads pretty good. I was hoping to get "The Toys" out but then we picked up another 3 inches of snow on Tuesday/Wednesday and that brought MNDOT out spewing the sand/salt crud again. So have to wait for Ma Nature to turn on the sprinkler system again.
But have enough to do putting "BIGBRRD's" powerplant back together so it can be dropped back into the car on the 21st. Then hopefully the rest of the work on the car can get finished in a few weeks. Would like to see "Ol' Tux" an' "BIGBRRD" side by side to see which shade of black is darker...!!!
Then have to get new skins on "The Beast" and do a few maintenance items to get ready for the run to CC. Comin' up fast...!!!
Dang nab it, my luck, the new place broke two low tire pressure sensors changing tires and no replacements in Alaska. Car sits in Dealer's shop until Monday or so. I should have known when I dropped off the Vette and a salesman backing a new C-6 in to position backed into the desk of another salesman..
Why me?? Now I got nice weather here and no car to drive. Yes, your right Jim, CC is comin fast..Are we there yet?
