Sweet Tux!!! its intoxicating, isn't it?!?! Tongue

My last ride for a month or so will be today. Yanking the heads and manifold off the Baby to put onto the new 406 that was just built. Then need to put the baby in a carriage and haul her off to the garage to switch the motors. I can't wait!!!Big%20smile

We had a couple of nice days recently, sos I pull the cover of "The Lady" and took her out of the garage. She gets kind of stiff from sitting and needs to be loosened up. Took her over to our shop and did the usual PM on her. Spent the whole day with the old girl and it was heaven. Finally got my suspension parts from MAM. Going to take her to the shop to install. NOBODY put their hands on my girl. I do it all myself with the help from some friends. Should make her ride a little better and maybe the road trips won't be as hard on us. Original suspension was 25+ years old. Can't wait for show season to start. First show is May 2. Is it here yet?

I'm jealous of you guys.  My baby went to paint in early Feb.  All the bodywork is done but she just sits waiting on 60+ degrees and less than 50% humidity so she can get some clothes on.

When the weather does break, she gets 5 or so coats of PPG black followed by 5 or so coats of PPG clear.  The snorkel will be red with a red stripe around the stinger.

Can't WAIT!!!  I won't have her for Hot Springs next weekend but hopefully by the 1st of May she'll be back.

Don't be jealous you Okie Dude you... Mark is right. The weather here is cold an rainy today. Tux has a new fresh coat of wax on and a cleaned up detailed engine. Now him & the the Zombie are slated to roll outta the garage @ 4:00 to meet the crappy elements.
I did all I could ta hold back the bad weather but got out voted by a higher power. Looks like my wife and I will be snappin a few wet vette photos of the carz & youngsters.

Oh Well, Only for the love of family!

I keep tellin myself "there just carz" but haven't quite got over the hump of believin it yet. If'n I can figger out howta post some pics I will.

Other than that I guess the boyz they will hafta wait their turns on the ramps an standz once they return to the garage. Me, I bought xtra fuel for the garge heater... Looks like I'll be spendin a few nightz out there before next Fridayz Unofficial Indiana C3VR meeting at a cruise in at Indy. Tuxblacray2007-04-14 11:48:36

I think Oklahoma is going to send Missouri some 60/70 and sunny this week. I'll be sure to pass it on to Indiana Tux.

Vette(s): 1965-327 coupe, 1968-small block coupe, 1969-427, 1971-454 coupe and currently a 1976-ZZ4 coupe reborn again,and hotter than ever.. Add a 1996 CE LT-4 for backup
Who can you trust?Cry The new Dealer called to let me know that the Vette was ready for pickup, took an hour off early to get the shop, Paid the bill? Price was higher than the estimate? Why I wonder? but, having a Corvette at a Chevrolet Dealer does cost more..Ha Ha, The Service Advisor went to get the car and drove it in the inspection area and I was all smiles. Yea it's mine.. Got down and checked the left and right lower side sections, looking for lifting marks? None, Looked inside for grease on the seat and carpet, none, looked under the nose and to my surprise a big scrape? paint missing? may have hit something? I moved on to the rear and they backed into something or it was hit? Fiberglass broken, paint rolled to one side 3 long scrapes fresh..My face was red and the heat coming to a boil, I yelled for the Service Manager, he called the shop forman, everybody started to gather, I stood my ground they said noway..Yea, I had the pictures I took before I took the car in.. Proof was on my side, only once in a life time. The Service Manager told me to have my insurance Company call the Dealership for instructions for payment and I was no longer welcome at the Dealership. When this is all over I plan to write a letter to General Motors and complain about this treatment..I told them up front I was anal about the car and would check for damage..A large shop and night workers anybody could have pushed a floor jack or a battery charger or anything into the rear? Well thats my story, won't be able to sleep, wife says calm down you'll get it fixed, just pissed I am..Thanks for the time..
