The word has come down...and it isn't good.
A valve broke and dropped down into the cylinder...piston has a hole in it.
Mechanic said the engine is ''toast''.
Hubby has all the details...I will know more later.

that was my thought too... thought it might be a valve drop.. was just hoping it wasnt so... that sucks...
you might be able to sleeve the piston if the block is in good enough shape...

That seems to be the common answer so far.
Gonna get a second opinion about it as well.
one way or the other..gonna be back terrorizing soon!

Yea....maybe this happening was a GOOD thing..I just have to actually figure out what the ''GOOD'' is!

It was a great motor for the short time I had it..lots of power..etc etc.
Well maybe the next one will have alittle bit more ''uuummmmpppffffhhhhhhhh''!

is the engine out of warranty or did you get the same 6ft/60 second warranty i get when i build my own..
take a look at the 383/425hp gm crate if the block is trash..

Yup....not a very good warranty !!
I wouldn't recommend it!!
