Vette(s): 1977 L-82 originally white/buckskin interior. Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!
Deb,

Sorry about the news, that sucks.

While you're in there, how about a nice induction system to compliment that awesome induction inlet on your hood.
Vortech Induction makes a nice supercharger for carbuerated small blocks.
Just planting the seed...sorry, I've been posessed by speed demons my entire life. When something bad ever happened to any of my cars, I never could just fix it, I always had to make it better.

Thanks for the info. on the ZR-1 rear cover. Yes, the side is a real PITA to tighten down. One more question...is the recess for the taillights on your cover extremely deep? Did you have to do anything special to make the lights mount up without being too deep?

Okay, thats two questions...good luck, and I hope Rosie's feeling better soon.

Alan.

Not sure yet just exactly what is gonna happen. Still don't know whether the block is screwed or not...getting $$$ workups from a couple of places for comparisons on rebuild (if possible)..or a new one as Hubby told me last night ''with a few modifications''!!|biggrin|

no it isn't too deep..mine looks exaggerated because the ''opening'' is much bigger.
we modified it..took out the ''lip' and made the opening much bigger than it was originally.

I would definately weigh the pros and cons of a new crate engine. At least the warranty could be better |thumb|
