Hey guys,

Last night my dad and I put the suspension together, minus the shocks, rotors, and brakes. It took 5 hours for the passanger side because the spring compressor tool was a piece of crap.Herea re some pics though:

I have several questions about torque settings though.

Int eh Corvette Fever article (very handy) they said to torque the ball joints to 50LB upper, 80LB lower. Do they mean all the bolts (inlcuding the bolts that go through the control arms), or just the bottom side bolt that connects to the control arm?

Also, what torque settigns are front sway bar busings at? It never said in the article.

And finally.. what is the torque setting for the lower control arm bumpers?

Thanks guys,

-Louis

Here ya go Louis:

Ball Joint stud nuts=50 ft. lbs. Joint to upper arm=25 ft lbs. Stabalizer bar link nuts=18 ft lbs. Upper control arm shaft end nuts=60 ft lbs, Lower control arm shaft to crossmember front 70 ft lbs, rear is 95 ft lbs. Mounting bolts, disc brake caliper=95 ft lbs. Ball joint to upper arm=25 ft lbs. Stabalizer bracket bolts=126 inch lbs. These values are from a factory shop manual. You should invest in one. There worth it.
