HEY GUYS!

Finally a day off! I've been working like 7 days a week straight for like almost 2 months. On my Sunday off the Vette is undergoing a major change. The following list It hink everyone will find interesting:

Vacuum hoses converted to Doc Rebuild from stock GM for AC
Stereo 10" sub 6x9"s and 4x6"s started to be layed out.
Custom speaker box being built
Carpet under construction
Power antenna converted
VIR rebuilt and ready to be picked up for final heater box/evaporator install.
350 Engine... interesting story here.... The original engien guy taht rebuilt the motor for $1,600 claimed to ahve the best services and to be #1 in NEVADA. He showed me his workshops. He promised me hyerpunmatic pistons with moly rings. A comp cams 248 cam... new eagle forged crank, etc... I read some reviews about a month ago when I decided to upgrade the ehads to aluminum and decided to bring it to a smaller shop that is well known around the speedway. The 350 was destroyed. No cal/lifer lube... crappy cast flat  top pistons, stock crank... millings crappy cam.... horrible rebuild for $1,600! The 350 has now been converted to a 383 STROKER, PUSHING OUT 500HP! $2,500 self estimate not including the parts I purchased) $2,500 is for labor.. pistons, high volume oil pump, 4 bolt conversion, and the labor. Nice engien my dad said... I need to finish paying the guy off before she can come home for pics. Anyway.. here are some pics (very scarey)

Picture 1     Picture 2     Picture 3     Picture 4

Some of you can truley appreciate these pictures.... Still a lot more to go.... but we're CLOSE!!!!!

What's that purple wire do?

Nice mess there, it's hard to believe you're actually making progress when it's all spaghetti like that.

Great job so far, you're learning well, young Grasshopper.

Hey guys,

Oh yeah, definatly some progress here.... however.. that engine job just like drained my wallet. I still got some little hoses to order..  a new sending unit.. tranny lines etc.... I highly doubt its gonna be rady by next meet, unless its like 65 months or so away. Paint is liek 3K.... l00l thats a lot. I got like just about half the money tucked away for the exhaust ($320) Would anyone be up for a booster help for paint? Like a donation? l00l....

Somehow it will all work out. THe outer door sweeps (felt) I got from a  company called RE-POPS is a bad repro... I need to find a good pair. Ecklers just added some to their catalog, a quick phone call and a return to the 'goat farm' where the ones I got now should do the trick. And I got a gas tank from ecklers b/c it said no bladder required. That was BS the instructions came with it on how to install the old bladder. I got  aplan to fix my old one, so now I'ma call up tmorrow and see if I can return the tank with no probs.

Anyway, have a great night guys,
-Louis

Louis;

I do feel your pain in the engine dept.  You can check the thread about "engine missing under load" if you are really bored.

Readers Digest version, PO (AKA POS PO) pulled the 350 bullet and crammed a 305 down hole.

Good Luck and congrats on the Stroker.
