I have added the ability to upload images & files directly to posts in this forum only (C3 General Discussion).  I'd like to see how it goes before enabling it in other forums.  I want to see if people find it useful and make sure it does not get abused.

What this means is that you can now upload an image or file directly to a post (or reply) without having to have the file on the internet already. You can go straight from your hard drive to the post.

When posting a message, you'll see two new buttons:

This is for uploading images. Below is an image I uploaded:

This is for uploading files. Below is a link to a file I uploaded:

2006-05-31_201419_C3VR_New_Member_Registration.pdf

Right now it just uploads to a generic location.  I may change it so it goes to your PFF.  If I do that, it will automatically place your files there and also count against your file storage limit.  Not sure yet.

If you have any problems or questions with this new feature, please let us know.

Enjoy!

SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

And a reminder to please be kind to those members who do not have high speed internet connectivity by limiting the size of images uploaded into posts to 400 pixels wide.

Most any image handling software (even Microsoft Paint!) has the capability to resize images.  If you need some assistance resizing images just ask any moderator for help.  If they cannot help you directly they will be able to point you to someone who will.

Whoops! My bad.  Didn't quite set the permissions correctly.  You should see the buttons now.  Please let me know if you don't.  If you can, give it a try!

Thanks!
