Just remember don't rush these things. You and "your" vette will happen when the time is right. |smokin|

Do you have someone who really knows Corvettes going with you?
I found that to be key when looking for the right one.
There is so much to know about the C3's.
So many things to watch out for.
A trained eye can spot them easily.
Someone who is anxious will overlook the obvious problems.

Good luck hunting. |cheers|

First off the guy who met with the seller first bought it, so that was the end of that.
Second : Yes. I do have a guy who really knows his stuff looking for me. I really lucked out because he offered to find me one after I brought it up at a party.
he has found other people in my area great muscle cars. He has his own private garage where he builds and restores Hot rods. He is a friend and really talented gearhead. I desparately want to find it myself but I know I'll regret it. so the search goes on.

My first vette I stumbled into. I had looked at two and they were definitely not the ONE. The third one I looked at was setting in the driveway when I pulled up. Nice and black and really shiny. We took it down the road and I was hooked. Turns out the car was much nicer than I had given it credit for. That car eventually got totalled and I had a hard time trying to replace it with another.

Maybe your old vette that got totaled is the same one I bought. |laugh| Gosh, I got so screwed when I bought my vette. The history of my car is so checkered with shotty repairs and pervious neglect and accidents. Had I known what I know now, That car would have been the last car I would have bought. But after many hours and dollers, Its in good shape and better than ever. I love her now.
