Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.

Vette Fest was awesome, spent alot of money. I bought an original set of aluminum valve covers, high torque mini starter, and lots of odds and ends. The wipers on my car haven't worked for 20 years, while I was at the show I found a new switch (the one that mounts on the firewall) for $30, bought it on a hunch. Installed it yesterday, the wipers work! Lots and lots of sweet cars too!

Hey Matt,
Great looking car. Looks vaguely familiar for some reason. I love it. Glad to hear you got the wipers working. Never know when you may need to use them.

I'd like to get to Vette Fest also, but April may be too early in the season for driving my Vette.

Dave - You're right about being a bit early to drive the vette - especially in Chicago. That's why we're flying in. Hope to see a bunch of C3VRers there.

I'll try to be at the next one too. We should get a C3VR shirts before we go so we can recognize each other at events. I'm planning on going to Bloomington Gold too (Chicago is only 4 hours away for me).

Thanks for the compliments on the '69. Hoping to get it repainted this winter.

Matt

I had a 68 silver vette conv. with a 327/350, 4 speed, it was a silver streak but it got drunk one night and ran through a cow pasture, it was odd looking around and seeing cows staring at me.  Seeing your pictures makes me wish i still had it. Alas I have my 77 and it is a quieter, tammer vette. gene
