Hello All

I'm trying to locate a 69 Corvette that i owned in the late 70s... Vin# 194379S715862.

Is there a way to search for this via the internet? Or is there a reputable web site that anyone can suggest?

Thanks in advance for any help...

Paul

Vette(s): ...
I tried on the 78 Vette, Ian, my wife owns and had no luck either . Carfax.com and the GM package that is posted also told me that there is no record before 81 when the 13 vin numbers were started. but you might try the 69 corvette registry site, if there is one . try searching for it. There is a registry site for 78's and other years too so i have to think there is one for 69's. you might also try the state motor vehicle of your state, they charge a fee here in NY
good luck |cheers|

I am the original owner of my "found" 81 that I sold back in 1984. I used a "PI" that had the right credentials that could look in the FBI nationwide database. Found mine instantly by giving him the VIN#, contacted the current owner and bought it back. Like marrying your highschool sweetheart 20 years later - priceless. I also gave him my dad's VIN# of his 78SA, found out it was wrecked in 1996. The database is out there, just need to pay a little for someone to access it for you.

Vette(s): 69 SS427 Phase III "GT"(undocumented), '70 Phase III GT,(LS-7), '80 L-82,
Back when they were still a year old I did a two tone paint job on a '81 the exact same color as yours. It came out looking like a factory job and the car was still around just a few years ago. Your color combo is kinda rare. Not too many of them out there.

I actually have never seen another one like mine. I've been in discussions with "LannyL81" over at corvetteactioncenter.com, he's got the same one as I but lives in Tucson, AZ. |thumb|

It is a rare color interior but nice. You should see one of these cars done up in two tone line the factory cars were done.

The previous owner of my baby had the DMV do a title search. It's amazing that the history of the car could be found after this many years. I wonder if they could help you?
