Hi!

I am from Austria and new to C3VetteRegistry.com, so please excuse, if my english is not the best |smile|

I am looking for a C3 for a few months, and it looks like i found the right one. A 69 Convertible in really good condition. Now i want to find out a bit more then the Registry-Papers say. I have the VIN and the engine-number, could you give me a hint, were i could get more information about the vette, before i buy it?

THX
Herbert

Vette(s): '73 Corvette convertible, not bad for my first one, huh? :D I'm trying to learn all I can about this and other models. It needs some work, but then again, don't they all??!!
The best resource I've found yet is here:

http://www.corvettefaq.com/gotvette.asp

This page (1 of 3) shows how to inspect the various areas of the car. It presumes that you've already bought it, and want to inspect it, but I'm sure you can print it out and bring it with you for guidance. Most effective if you have access to a lift, and can inspect the undercarriage as well. The home page lists everything you could possibly want to know about Corvettes, in general, specific, and modifications!

Good luck with your purchase, and welcome to the board!!

Paul

Vette(s): 1968 Corvette T-Top Coupe, 427 L71, Rally Red Exterior, Saddle Interior
If you are really serious about getting a 68 Vette with the proper equipment on it, then you need to have a copy of the NCRS 1968-69 Corvette Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide. This is the most complete technical guide out there to determine original parts, etc. You can purchase it for $30.00 at WWW.ncrs.org
Go to the online store and then click on the C3 library. This is a must manual to have. I use it all the time in responses to other C3Vette Registry members questions.
