Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.

I'm trying to get my wiper dilema solved on my '69. The previous owner of my car had the wiper motor replaced and the shop never put the hoses from the wiper motor back in. Is there a diagram anywhere that shows what goes where? Also, there's a hose with a red stripe that I can't find where to plug in, it goes from up by the headlights to up by the firewall, it's in a bundle of 4 that travel behind the master cylinder. My wiper door and headlights work, so I don't think it's vaccum, but I could be wrong.

Thanks,

Matt

In all probability, as Ron 78 stated, it is a line to your headlight washer.  Pop your headlights open and look for the chrome spray nosel on the bottom of the bezel between the lights.  Since your wiper motor was replaced, it is possible that the proper pump was not on the new unit.  Your pump should have 1 input and 4 outputs to work prpoerly with headlight washers.  If there are only 3 (1 input and 2 outlets) use just the windshield washers or replace the unit again with the proper pump.  Went through this wiht my own 69!

Most likely is the washer hose.
I always recommend getting the factory service manual for our 'Vettes. They have the best info, along with correct wiring/vaccuum diagrams. You can usually find them for around $40.
An assembly manual is also one of the first things to get. They're cheap at $20 or so.

As Adam says, the assembly manual is very detailed (mine is a bad quality photocopy found on ebay, but good enough to have a clue).

Why is there 4 output, is it because the 72 and below have this "wiper door/grill" at the bottom of the windshield ?  Is this vacuum operated ?

I'm really not helping here, am I ?
