Hurrah, I finally got someone to excavate for my garage. I had to do some begging, pleading, whinning, and sniveling, but it worked. Now if I can get my Brother and his crew to get started, I should be in the garage in about a month.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
Ain't it awful, how you have to KISS A-- sometimes to get something done. You almost need to be a politician, lie, cheat, steal, etc etc.. |cheers|

It'll be interesting to see if I get my Vette back before you get your garage up.

No offense, but I hope I get my Vette back first!! |smokin|

Congratulations Rick ! All that is left to do on mine is, cement one block in place, dissassemble and rebuild one truss, and hang the 18 foot door. That finishes the contractor's end of it. I will still have to do the electric and insullation and drywalls but there is no rush for that as long as I get the 100 amp service hooked up and inspected, the rest is gravy. I parked the Vette in it this past weekend. It smiled, I smiled and my wife just shook her head.

glenn, For some reason, women just don't appreciate a garage. I mean, if you don't have a garage, where do you do all of the honey-doos that all husbands have to do. it would be like taking away a woman's mirror, or her kitchen, if she likes to cook., or stopping her from going shopping. I just don't understand this shopping bit, my wife goes every Sat, for the whole day. most of the time it is to the same stores. Maybe she is trying to tell me something!!! |cheers|

Actually, I encourage my wife to go shopping. Even though she rarely comes home empty handed, she is more worried about spending money than I am. That is cause I pay the bills and know what we have left at the end of the week. Besides that fact, the peace and quiet ( lack of honey-dos ) is worth whatever she comes home with ! |smile|

|laugh| you guys are so bad.

I don't give my Hubby a ''honey do'' list...he already knows!!!! |rollysmile|

Actally we split the ''job'' list...since we both work full time....we have agreed that if you see something that needs to be done...then ya just do it...the ONLY exception to that is the laundry!!!!!! I do that!!! |biggrin|

Debbie, we pretty much do the same thing cause we both work full time also. The only thing that remains OFF my list is dusting. I don't do dust. I don't mind laundry, vaccuum, windows ...whatever.....I just flat don't do dust. My reason? Nothing in particular, I just don't do dust. ( we all have one or two little hang ups - that's mine |smile| ) .

Adam, for your sake, I hope you get your Vette back before my garage is done. I am expecting the trusses to be about 3 weeks yet, but we will have everything else ready to set them. So I may have my garage in about a month.
