I don't drive my 74 very much and just was wondering what kind of gas mileage do you get? Around town and highway? thanks....

74 coupe 4 speed 350, 54K actual miles,
all original; paint, interior, engine,
split bumper. #'s match. 2nd owner, no stress cracks.

Mine is pretty much the same as Daves but its also an 82. The crossfires with the 700r4 are pretty good on gas.

'69 427/435 with L88 cam and 4.11 rear = 6mpg, no matter how I drive it...hard or gently you can watch the gas gauge drop.
About 125 miles to a tank of gas is what it gets. It doesn't go out as much as it used to.

Aboot 2 gallons per mile, it seems like!
The '74 gits around 15-18 mpg or so(3.36 rear/4 speed)....the '85 gits 26 mpg on the road...around 21 in town.

I don't know and I really don't much care. My '74 Corvette is driven in a "spirited" manner for fun and pleasure. I suspect it would be a different story if it were my daily driver.
