Hi all,
Im new to the group so let me tell alittle about myself,
im pete kennedy from Shohola Pa. and worked for a Volvo dealership as a tech for about 20 years, I have a 1978 auto 350cuin dk brown ext and dk brown int.
Anyway I want to replace the dog of a 350 i have in the car with a zz4, and i need to know what carb to use and what should i do with the trans ie... rebuild the tm350 with a shift kit or go and get a tm400? also should i use the stock tq converter?

Around 650 cfm should be enough. It a matter of preference on what brand carb to use. I personnal like the ol' Rochester Q-Jet, some guy's prefer the Holley or Demon carb. Edelbrock Performer carbs are really good to.
If you have the cash to play with, I would suggest upgrading the trans. to a overdrive unit. i.e. TH700R4 or a TH200. And as for a torque converter, I would stick around 2400-2600 rpm stall speed. That's my .02 cents.

any decent 650 vac secondary should do..
