A big cast steel weight and some springs.
It was an early attempt at stability control. Don't think it did much being that the weight was only a couple of % of the weight of the vette.

Imma thinking it had more to do with momentum...as the car swerved, the weight would bump to the side. I doubt it really had much effect, anyway...prolly just another one of those JC Whitney miracle cures!

the spare tire had been removed and a custom made frame mount trailer hitch was in its place. It was'nt factory but it was nicely done

Vette(s): 1976 Corvette L82 4sp - all original, current documented mileage is 9,532 miles; previous - 63 Conv 4 Spd Red/Blk; 64 Conv 327/300 4 spd with hardtop red/blk; 79 Coupe Auto T-Tops British Green; 79 Coupe 4 Spd T-Tops Hdrs Cam Bored & Stroked
When I bought the '76 vette it was fairly well documented - purchase order, salesman business card, build plate, warranty books on tires and batteries, knock outs from the keys, registration of all previous owners, and two owner's manuals. But the one item I did not expect was a plastic replica of the car in it's original box and wrapped in what appears to be the original tissue paper. Come to find out this was a gift item from the dealer on corvettes he sold at the time.
