Im sure you NYC guys will remember this. Maufacturers Hanover Bank used to have the ManyHany Anycar loan. The showed a car that was pieces of like 50 different cars... WOW I just went back 35 years!

A couple of things I've seen over the years make me wonder about cars like this. I looked at a 67 big block 'vert several years ago. First thing I looked at was the vin tag. It was from a 66 coupe and put on with screws. Obviously, I ran, but the point is this car may very well be titled as a 68 and somebody could be trying to pass a stolen car. Kind of dumb to do that on ebay, but I've seen dumber.

That Ken isn't a C3VR member, just someone who bid on that car. He was lucky the bank wouldn't loan him the money.
I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

Actually, I got the original link for this car from a newer C3VR member(via e-mail), asking for an opinion, as he was considering a bid. I have to appologize, but I can't remember who it was.
I told him my opinion of the car, and he did e-mail back and said it scared him, too, and he was not going to bid on it. When I first looked at it , the auction had already ended.

His revised vin # says it's a '68 convertible.

I emailed the seller tonight to inquire about the suspect VIN. He
states that the VIN is exactly as on the A-pillar. Also said he doesn't
know about any accident damage on the car. He has no explanation for
the incorrect door hardware.
