Vette(s): 1971 Conv. Red/Red with White top. Base 350, 4 speed, PS/PB, AC, Tilt/Tel, Hard Top. Factory Side Pipes. ( I know its not stock, but I always wanted a car with side pipes)
Anyone know where I can find another set of these? They are for the cut outs for the exhaust panel in the rear of 1970 to 73. I put side pipes on my car and will be putting them on after I get them painted. My friend needs a set, and I haven't seen them in any catalogs. Anyone know where to get them? This is the first set I have ever seen and they came with the pipes and covers that I bought from someone, so I'm not sure where he got them. |shrug|

I want some too... |jumpy| Sure hope someone knows where to find them. I've been thinking about installing chrome Hooker headers and sidepipes and one concern I've had is how the rear would look with the two empty cutouts. I don't want to glass the openings over and repacing the panel would probably cost too much. |frown|

Tony.. ever since I saw the picture of your '71, side pipes are all I can think about. Very cool car.

I have never seen those before, and I have seen alot of things. Those are very kewl. When I redid my car I replaced the back valance with the valance that has the solid panel, then I glassed it in to fill the seams. Like you siad I have also NOT seen those in any of the Vett parts rags, good luck finding them.

Vette(s): 1982 blue cpe AFR HEADS 4 DCOE WEBER CARBS, CAM TECHNIQUES, msd , on board ign control and lots of other mouse food

They look like they were hand made ,,, both the seams and the radius of the inner portion of the inserts were not machine made .

I am kicking around the idea of having these made. Would anyone be interested in a set? They would be a lot cheaper then buying a new rear panel, and lot easier to install. Let me know. |wave|
