Need to replace tires on my '81. Currently have P225/70's. Stick with those or go with the other stock option 255/60's? Just looking for thought and opinions.

Personally, I think the 255/60 series tires look better on the 80-82 Vettes.  They just look more aggressive.

I just switched to the 255/60's. I love the way they look. It seems most cars today are running wider tires so the 225's seemed to look too skinny on a sports car.

255's look better imo.

My buddy has a set of 225 Firehawks on his '80. Looks to much like a truck tire.
I have the 255 Firehawks on the '81 and they look just right.
To bad Firestone quit making these tires. They were the best in the rain out of the other 2 choices. BF Goodrich and Goodyears.

I vote for 255/60/15 as well. I have them all around on my '75. Mine are the Radial T/As.

Thanks guys! I was leaning towards the 255/60 and your thoughts and opinions helped support my decision.
