I bought my 1972 off of ebay but the car was only 80 miles away so I did see the car before the money changed hands |cheers|

Bought an "80" on Ebay and the car was as advertised. It was only 100 miles away so I got to look at it before the money exchanged hands. Trailered it home.

Vette(s): 1976 Brown with Buckskin Interior. I bought her on 9/15/03 and just received it on OCT 1st 2003!! It needs interior work, and some things under the hood, but I am so excited! Just waiting for Summer of 2004 to totally show it off.
Yes it is my first bike - I do not even have my license for it yet |haha| I bought the bike cause it was perfect for me. 1999 with 297 miles on it. It's brand new and I only paid 1775. A totally new on from the showroom is 3K. I am going to get my "M" license in april or may then I am ready for the road!! I am turning 30 next May so you can say i have been busy buying stuff for my 30th!!! |thumb|

We just got our 72 on ebay back in July. Had no problems with the transaction. We love the car and it has even won an award in the first show my wife entered it in. I did check a car out that was listed before we bought our 72, this also was a 72 and was a piece of junk, I was glad I checked this one out first.

Nice bike to start out on,and a great birthday present. you can see my 1997 Yamaha Virago 250 ( it is called a "kick-butt" light cruiser")in the pictures if you click on the link in my signature below. It isn't my first, I started riding them when I was 15, actually got my motorcycle license before my driver's. I'd like to get a 750 Virago, but Colleen wants another Vette. so I have to be happy with what I have now.
Bob |cheers| shark, can you downsize your picture any?

I purchased by 94 Cpe on Ebay. When I went to pick it up there were some small problems. The tires were listed as 80% tread left. I didn't know they meant between all four tires!

There were some other small issues, but I still brought the car home. The dealer tried to tack on 3% for using a credit card. I had called the day before and had offered to get a bank check of 1.5% off the price. Nowhere in his add did he state that credit cards are extra. After starting to walk out the door, he changed his tune.

Overall it's been a pretty good car. I've had it for 18 months.

We bought our '82 after seeing it on ebay (but the seller
ended the auction early--to bypass the fees???) It will
be a nice car--after we finish working on it. I think
we got our money's worth, but the seller was not honest
about everything that was wrong (or else he just didn't
know!) The warning I have for people buying this way is
to make sure you can get the vehicle to pass your State's
inspection (we had a terrible time repairing the parking
brake to get ours to pass--one of the many things that
was broken that the seller didn't tell us about.) Also
he swore it was an original blue, but it isn't (it was
really difficult to tell by the photos, taken indoors in
low light.) But we would still buy "sight unseen" again--
if the price is right!
